New Paragliding Brand: Raul Rodriguez Acro Wings Austrian paraglider company NOVA announced a cooperation deal with Raul Rodriguez on the 12th of September. Raul Rodriguez is a multiple world champion and one of the world's most famous acro pilots. The agreement was signed at the “Coupe Icare” flying festival. The collaboration includes the introduction of special acro paragliders under the new brand "Raul Rodriguez Acro Wings". They will be developed, produced and distributed by NOVA. Raul Rodriguez holds the trademark and is in charge of all flying tests and the image of the new brand. Yes! Finally, a new video! During my holiday to the Netherlands I visited my friends and of course flew around a bit. During my stay there was also a Skywalk Testival. I had the opportunity to fly with Richard Gallon (member of the SAT team) and to try out the new Skywalk Acro Proto (based on a Cayenne, I think). Great wing, great dynamics, still needs a bit of trimming but Richard is working on that  Besides flying the Skywalk I of course also flew my new Apco Twister; getting more and more in love with that wing! On one flight we got a bit too intimate and I had to pull out the laundry to cool off... See the results on either YouTube or download a high(er) quality video here.  It was great to be back in the Netherlands after one and a half year. Seeing all my friends and family, it was great guys, thanks! It's also been very good for my progress in acro: finally some height to burn! New Zealand is great, but with all the soaring sites it is hard to get enough height to practice (safe) acro... I've just received my Twister... Man, what a machine! This is a beast! I'm still training on this wing and have so far only done big wingovers, SAT's, tumbles, loops and helico's (weather has been crap here in NZ because of El Nino), but man, this wing is sweeeeet! The acromania.nl forum has been hacked by some lame scriptkiddy thinking he is god but instead just using known vulnerabilities using software made by other (intelligent) people. This script kiddy managed to send everybody subscribed to the acromania.nl forum an email containing a link to an executable containing a trojan. DO NOT CLICK ON THE "FREE SOFTWARE LINK" CONTAINED IN THIS EMAIL! If you DO run this executable, it will open up your computer so the kid can use your computer remotely to tease some other kids. It's all really pathetic, but such is life in the 21st century. All major virusscanners and trojanscanners will detect this trojan and warn you. Therefore, if you update your virusscanner regularly, it is almost impossible for you to run this file and become infected. My sincere apologies. The forum will be offline until further notice.
